Retailers Installers Specifiers Home Owners

Wakefield and District Housing (WDH) providing homes to the 'Wakefield Standard'

Wakefield and District Housing (WDH) has been installing the Surestop since 2007 as part of its multi-million pound improvement programme to bring all homes up to the ‘Wakefield Standard’ – which is higher than the Government’s ‘Decent Homes Standard’.

WDH, which is one of the UK’s largest social housing providers managing over 31,000 homes in the Wakefield district, first introduced the Surestop five years ago. As the project nears its end, WDH and its tenants can enjoy the benefits that the Surestop product offers.

James Martin, Strategic Programming Manager for WDH, explains: "We have been installing the Surestop as part of our improvement programme successfully for some years. The Surestop enables our customers to turn their water off at a flick of a switch, which overcomes any issues of accessibility and the variable effectiveness of brass stopcocks.”

Mark Vurlan, Sales Manager at Surestop, added: "WDH are one of over 300 social housing providers who specify the Surestop product. I would like to personally thank James and his colleagues at WDH for their valued support of our product over many years. As a result, WDH and importantly their tenants are now in a position to truly enjoy the benefits of their investment.”
